Parang Tritis Beach

One of the attractive beaches near Yogyakarta is Parangtritis. It is located about 27 km. from Yogyakarta, Parangtritis may be reached in two ways, through Kretek Village or the longer one but more well - established road through Imogiri and Siluk Village. Parangtritis Beach is a lovely beach with many impressing phenomena, naturally and supra naturally. The waves regularly bring in new wood and bamboo, washing ashore from another nearby beach probably. Some wood is picked and taken away by locals to be used for their own house. Parangtritis is an enchanting sloping beach combined with rocky hills, dunes, and a white sandy beach. Besides being famous as a recreational spot. Parangtritis is also a sacred place. Many people come to the beach to do meditation. Up to now, this area is remaining functioned as the place to perform the traditional ceremony called labuhan. Many hotels and restaurants are available for sunbathe lovers.

Bunaken

Bunaken it's a beatifull sea park located at Manado, North Sulawesi. It's a beatifull place to visit. You can swimming, diving, or fishing. Bunaken National Park is very representative of Indonesian tropical water ecosystems, consisting of seagrass plain, coral reef, and land/coastal ecosystems. The northern part of the Park area covers the islands of Bunaken, Manado Tua, Montehage, Siladen, Nain and Nain Kecil, and part of the Tanjung Pisok coastal area. The southern part of the Park covers part of the Tanjung Kelapa coast. On land, these islands are rich in species of palm, sagu, woka, silar and coconut. Among the animal species that live on the land and the beaches are black-crested macaques (Macaca nigra nigra), Timor deer (Cervus timorensis russa), and bear-cuscus (Ailurops ursinus ursinus).

The mangrove forest of the Park contains, among others, Rhizophora sp., Sonneratia sp., Lumnitzera sp., and Bruguiera sp. This forest is also rich in species of crab, lobster, mollusc, and sea birds such as gulls, herons, sea doves, and storks.
At Bunaken live about 91 species of fish, among them being the emperor angelfish (Pomacanthus imperator), almaco jack (Seriola rivoliana), spotted seahorse (Hippocampus kuda), yellowstripe snapper (Lutjanus kasmira), four saddle rock cod (Ephinephelus spilotoceps), pinkish basslet (Pseudanthias hypselosoma), two-lined monocle bream (Scolopsis bilineatus), etc.; and species of mollusc such as the great clam (Tridacna gigas), horned helmet (Cassis cornuta), pearly-chambered nautili (Nautilus pompillius), and ascidians.
There are five islands in the Park where visitors can enjoy diving, snorkelling and marine tours.
Cultural attractions outside the Park include the Anniversary of Manado in July and Menulude in January, in Manado.May to August.
You can reach this destination from Manado harbour, the Nusantara Diving Centre (NDC) Marina in Molas sub-district, and the Blue Banter Marina. From Manado harbour by motor boat to Siladen Island takes 20 minutes; to Bunaken Island, 30 minutes; to Montehage Island, 50 minutes; and to Nain Island, 60 minutes. From Blue Banter Marina heading to the recreation area on Bunaken takes 1015 minutes by cabin cruiser. From the NDC harbour to the dive sites off Bunaken takes 20 minutes by speedboat.

Tretes

Tretes is a small town about an hour's drive from the second largest city in Indonesia - Surabaya, in East Java. It's on the slopes of Mt. Welirang.It's possible to take a day trip to Tretes from either Surabaya. But the traffic jams usually make the trip longer - especially on Sunday afternoons when everybody wants to go home to the cities at the same time from the mountain town of Tretes.Tretes has several small hotels, some with swimming pools, (heated or not). Besides staying in a hotel, you can also or rent a small bungalow for a visit.Tretes has a much cooler climate, when compared to Surabaya. You can sleep without air conditioning and still be comfortable. There are nice walks around town or around the rice fields so that you can enjoy nature and the unique flowers and plants.
There is one plant called a Kumis Kucing that, when you touch it, will close up the leaf in "shame".

Other things to do:

- Hire a horse for hour
- Go to the swimming pool
- Enjoy the sun
- Hike up to one of the waterfalls. There are two Waterfalls; "Kakek Bodoh" ( dumb grandfather) and Pucuk Truno. You can see the Pucuk Truno waterfall from two sides - the lower level, or from above at the top where the water starts to descend.
- At the "Sri" Restaurant you can eat a nice chicken dish and drink fresh young coconuts
- At special times you can view the Ramayana folk dance (from the Hindu epic of the same name)
- You can also play golf
- Visit nearby Mt. Bromo (inactive volcano)
- Nearby Tretes there is also a safari park
- View villagers who mine sulfur in a very simple manner high in the mountains. It's found in big yellow chunks near the volcanic steam vents near the top of the volcano and it and is very odorous (sulphide and sulphate minerals in their native form - found in volcanic regions). This yellow mineral is used for medicines.

Tanah Lot Temple

Tanah Lot Temple is located in coastal side of Beraban countryside, Kediri sub district and Tabanan Regency. It is situated in 30Km in west side of Denpasar town and about 11 Km in south side of Tabanan town. The temple is built on the rock with 3 acre size and reachable in a few minute by walk, because it is just 20 meters from the coastal lip. This temple is very famous among tourist destinations in Bali with spectacular view of sunset. At some nooks of coral reef around Tanah Lot Temple there are holy tame snake in black and white color where according to the local society believe that it as a deity property and as the guard of the temple from the bad influence.

The word of Tanah Lot is consisted of two words that are Tanah word interpreted as a reef looking like gili or isle. Lot or Lod word has meaning the sea. So Tanah Lot is meaning the small island floating on the sea. The location is now called as Tanah Lot has been used at a Megalithic period as a place that looked into holy, proven from the existence of menhir. Pursuant to environmental condition, hence the structure of Tanah Lot temple is built at irregular reef plain of its angle which is only consisted of one plain yard as Jeroan.
As a favorite tourism destination in Bali, Tanah Lot owns a magnificent view in particular at the sunset time where the sun slows down to the earth stomach. Every visitor who is paying a visit to this place will be marveled to see the beauty panorama of Tanah Lot. Sanur Beach

Sanur Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach with calm and warm seawater located in east part of Denpasar Town. The beach location in eastside and south part of Sanur Village is an edge of Indonesia Ocean. This place has famous since long time, especially when the happening of the Puputan Badung war on 20 September 1906, where that moment the Dutch colonist land its army in this coast. There is a stone monument found in this place as an inscription of Sri Kesari Warmadewa King with the palace in Singhadwala year 917, whereabouts now there are in Blanjong, southern part of Sanur Beach.

Sendang Biru Beach

Sendang Biru is one of beach resorts in the southern part of Malang Regency, which free from tumulous waves of Indian Ocean due to the existence of wild life Sempu Island, about 300 meters offshore.

All about Medan

Medan is the capital city of North Sumatra province, Indonesia. It is the largest city in Sumatra and the Indonesia's third most populous after Jakarta and Surabaya, with approximately 2.5 million people. Medan means 'field' in Bahasa Indonesia and Malay languages but the name actually originated from the Karonese word 'madan' which means to 'get better' or 'healthy'.The city located in the north of the province, and has a nearby harbour Belawan, and an international airport Polonia International Airport. It is situated in the fertile swamp at the junction of the Deli and Babura rivers where the original village of Medan Putri was founded by Raja Guru Patimpus in 1590.
The city has a mix of communities, reflecting its pre- and post-independence history. It is famous throughout Indonesia as the home of the Batak people, although the ancestral sites of these people are scattered throughout northern Sumatra. In addition, there is a large ethnic Javanese comunity, largely made of of the descendants of people shipped from Java in the last century as part of the government's transmigration policy, an attempt to relieve the chronic overcrowding on Java.
A highly visible component of Medan's population is the large number of ethnic Chinese, who control much of the business sector. Finally, the city has a sizeable community of Tamil descent, the people known as keling. A well-known Tamil market, is the Kampung Keling. In addition to Indonesian, Javanese, Hokkien, Tamil and English are spoken.

Climate
Straddling the equator, the climate in Medan, just like other areas in Indonesia, tends to have a fairly even climate year-round. There are two seasons; i.e., the dry season and the rainy season. The temperature throughout the year average 22oC to 29oC, but the north coastal plains are usually hotter up to 34oC. Humidity average a high 75%.

Clothes
Light weight clothing is advisable in this region because its warm temperature and humidity. In formal meetings, men commonly wear ties and long sleeve Batik shirts. Nevertheless, if you go to mountainous areas, you need jackets and sweaters.

Electricity
Power supply is 220 volts / 250 cycles is large cities, but 110 volts is still used in some areas. Normal outlets are plugs with two rounded pins. It is advisable to check electricity supplies before using any appliances.

Food
North Sumatra has a variety of food. Rice is the staple food which is usually eaten with meat, fish, eggs, and vegetables.In Padang Cuisine restaurants, a variety of dishes are placed on the table in front of you but you only have to pay for what you eat. About Palembang

Palembang, sited om the banks of River Musi, is the capital of South Sumatra and Indonesia's leading centre for oil-refining. Kuta Beach in Lombok

Kuta in Lombok is famous for the incredibly beautiful beach. When the tide is low the bay turn into shallow water pool and the color of the water turns into turquoise. You can see the photo of the beach at the many internet cafes in Indonesia. Look for the wall paper on the computer screen. S coast of Lombok is also famous for the high waves. Also Kuta is a good base for the surfers.
How to get here by public transport from Mataram.Take a bemo from the bus terminal to Praya 3000Rp/pthen to Sengkol 3000Rp/p, then to Kuta, 3,000Rp All tourist fares.
Thie finla bemo arrives at the intersection where you can see a Cafe(closed) on the right just after passing Puri itoma Bungalows or the right. If you turn right from here, you can find a few hotels including Matahari Hotel and continuing to another beautiful half moon crescent bay, 6km from Kuta. If you go straight you can reach W side of Kuta beach. If you turn left, the road continues to Kuta beach hotel area. Your transport to Kuta probably takes you the hotel you want to stay. So tell the name to the driver.

Bekapai Park which is opened in the middle of the year of 1998, and it is situated in front of PLN office on Jalan Jend. Sudirman. In the middle of the park obtained a monument which simbolise the oil that come out from well in Balikpapan area. From inside of the monument that is made of stainless steel spread out the fountain and supproted by the light in the night The place is opened for Public.

Melawai Beach

Located at Sudirman street near pantai strans, it’s beautiful place to have a rest with family sitting to enjoy the view of Balikpapn Bay.
There are many kind of traditional food. Opened 19.00 – 24.00 wita, Monday and Sunday are busy day to visit.

Mount Lokon (1.580 m) and Mahawu (1.311 m), both have crater lakes of considerable beauty, duck-egg blue and smoking. Lokon is usually considered to be more beautiful of the two, but right now it is to risky to there since there was a warning from local goverment. Mt Mahawu is ok and normally they walk from Rurukan Village. It takes only 1 hour walking from Rurukan Village to the top of Mt. Mahawu. Walking condition is good, you are welcome to do trekking in this mountain.

These caves were built by the Japanese during the World War II mainly used as a storage for supplies. You can visit the caves while driving along the road between Kiawa and Kawangkoan, two scenic countryside villages.
